We are happy to welcome Nikhita as a summer 2018 researcher! Nikhita was awarded the Khorana Scholarship and has decided to perform research in the Salzman Lab for the summer 2018.
The Khorana Scholarship, named after the Nobel Laureate Dr. Har Gobind Khorana, is a grant given by the Government of India to selected students studying Biology which enables them to pursue a summer research internship for 10 weeks at a premier university in the United States.
Nikhita has completed three years of undergraduate studies in a dual degree program in Biological Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras. She is pursuing a minor in Computational Biology and aims to work in this field in the future.
